Samsung Galaxy S 4 is equipped with a 1.9GHz Quad-core AP or a 1.6GHz Octa-core AP. The selection of AP varies by markets.
In the UK the Galaxy S 4 will be available as a 4G device with a 1.9GHz Quad Core Processor.
Samsung say what? We thought you said that the UK will be getting the Octa-core processor.
If you were thinking the same thing it’s because they did say that the UK would be getting the 1.6GHz 8 core beast but it seems they have retracted that statement as shown by the aforementioned quote from Samsung. I don’t really see this as a deal breaker for anyone for a few reasons:
1. An 8 core processor isn’t necessary at all, software is not developed enough to take advantage of such power.
2. The 8 cores wouldn’t be all active at the same time only 4 are active, depending on the activity it would be the A15 high powered quad-core or the A7 low powered quad-core.
3. As opposed to many of my other editors and writers I personally believe the Galaxy is a beautiful, exciting, and innovative device which will be sure to please anyone.
What do you think on the Galaxy S4 and on an octa-core processor?
