The OpenSuse distribution moved forward to release 12.3 today. The release is significant as it sees the move away from MySQL to MariaDB. As well as this switch a number of other updates, stability fixes and new packages are also included.
The distribution comes with a choice of KDE Plasma 4.10, Gnome 3.6, Xfce and LXDE desktop environments and also includes Enlightenment 17 fir the first time. The download is roughly 1G in size and has been optiized for USB sticks and includes a stable ARM v7 as well as an experimental ARM 64bit image.
