As part of Disney’s recent shuttering of LucasArts, the games publishing arm of Lucasfilm, Raven and Activision have open sourced two of their games nearly entirely.
While the games are showing their age, it’s nice to see that for loyal fans, the code is there for fans to play with and hopefully produce some really interesting mods and ports.
One of the games, Jedi Academy is a game which is exactly as it sounds. You play a student character and complete missions, and is a typical game in that respect.
The next is Jedi Outcast which is placed in the storyline of some of the other Star Wars games and you fight against a Dark Jedi and you can imagine the rest.
For those who want to have a look, the code is on SourceForge (however it is purely a dump in zip files, no easy browsing)
