I’ve been busy today reviewing the Logitech Wireless T650 Touchpad which I’m going to buy when the price comes down.
Now I bought the Logitech HD Webcam C270 and set about installing on my Windows 8 system. First thing I had to do was download the Windows 8 software from Logitech both 32 & 64 bit included.
There is two main versions of this webcam the standard black costing £17:99 (was £24:99) and the Limited Edition marked down to £12:97 saving £12:02 at PC World. The only difference is the design on the front of the webcam so, if you can live with this save yourself a fiver.
The C270 is a HD 720p Video calling and HD video recording allowing you to easily connect with family and friends across the world.
This webcam offers very good 720p resolution on most major instant messaging services and Logitech Vid HD, and a built-in microphone with Logitech RightSound technology for crystal-clear audio clarity.
The Logitech C270 Webcam can take snapshots at up to 3 megapixels with its quick snapshot button, and can upload video and still images to Twitter, Facebook or YouTube with a single click.
- 2.4 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo
- 2 GB RAM
- 200 MB hard drive space
- USB 2.0 port
- 1 Mbps upload speed or higher
- 1280 x 720 screen resolution
- 2-year limited hardware warranty
I been looking for a new webcam ever since I moved to Windows 8 as my old webcam was not compatible, typical Microsoft! And had to use a 4yr old one that just worked and no more. But all is not lost as it means I can use it on my Linux PC.
The Logitech HD Webcam C270 was easy to install, setup was also a breeze, and the picture quality is excellent. Spending just £12:97, I can’t remember being more satisfied.
