Just under a year ago, our Senior UK Editor Craig Clark lost his mother to the evil that is cancer. Craig has decided to do something to help assist those working to rid the world of this disease and along with some of his friends he will travel from Essex to Scotland in a bid to climb Ben Nevis and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Me and a few close friends are trekking up and down Ben Nevis in June. I am collecting for Cancer Research UK and for reasons close to my heart. I wanted to do this for my Mum. My Mum, Julie Clark. She passed away April, last year, after a battle against Cancer. She fought all the way and never gave up, she carried on like everything was alright, and she carried on reaching for the top, just as I will be for her.
This trek is for her and in her memory. With your help as well, it would be amazing to get as much as I can to raise money for research into improving cancer care and treatment. Ben Nevis will be a hard challenge, but with my Mum in mind and willing me on I’ll make it. In memory of you Mum, I’ll fight to the top as well.
If you can spare any change it will make a difference however small, and help fight the horrible disease that is cancer.
For you Mum. Love you and miss you every day x
