Over the past few months I’ve been using the Feligan Power Brick to keep my devices charged but I’ve found this, whilst very handy, to be clumpy and generally quite ugly looking not to mention it had to be powered on at all times and had a strange humming noise coming from it when devices were charging so I decided to take a look around and see what else was on the market and that’s when I found the Belkin Eco Friendly Family USB Charging Station in the mobile phone accessories section of the Mobile Fun website.
According to the tech sheet, the Belkin Eco Friendly Family USB Charging Station addresses the energy waste that results from idle chargers, which still draw power when they are left plugged into the wall–whether or not a device is attached. It reportedly draws zero power when not in use, so you can keep your devices ready to go without wasting energy.
Now, I’m certainly no power expert, nor do I have the tools to test such a claim but I’m trusting, and if it says it does all that then I’m sold but just how much less of an eyesore and bulk taker was this device and how much have I used it since getting it?

Since getting the device delivered, and to answer my first question, I have been using this daily, I have at least 2 devices charging at any one time now and never really leave the house without a fully charged mobile phone or smart watch.
The bad points listed above are really all I could find “wrong” with this product, the 500mAh output means that tablets are pretty much a no go and the fact that there is just one side USB port is also rather annoying though not in anyway does it take away from how good this product is.
The only tip I could give to anyone buying this is to make sure that you remember to push the green button to start the charging when you plug a device in otherwise you will be left with a dead battery.
