I’ve been hunting the accessory world since getting my BlackBerry Z10 for a case that offers protection both at the screen side and that also offers the ability to charge a device from the left hand side ports. Sadly it seems that a case of this nature is almost (if not completely) non existent so I have resigned myself to knowing that it doesn’t exist so instead I’ve been looking at some other cases.
The case I’ve been looking at recently is the Zenus BlackBerry Z10 Case which offers a flip style design and also has slots on the inside of the flip for bank or other such cards.
How does this case compare to the Official Blackberry Z10 Flip Shell and does having the bank card slots really make much of a difference?

The Zenus BlackBerry Z10 case is a funny old thing, part of me wants to love this case and another part of me wants to hate it.
The handset fits perfectly inside the case and can be removed with very little effort at all though that doesn’t mean that the phone will ever fall out of the case as the clip in design is very well designed. Sticking with design, the ports for the volume switches on the case are not cut greatly and as you can see in the video below, the leather actually overhangs the buttons (though not greatly).
Having somewhere to put my bank cards and money on a case was pretty neat, though not carrying a wallet felt a little weird. There’s the added worry that I’m not sure that I would want to lose both my phone and money / cards at the same time should that ever actually happen.
The card pockets were also a cause of concern for me in terms of design. We all know that most cards have embossed characters which makes me wonder if, when moving the device to and from my pocket, the embossed numbers would eventually cause some screen damage. Perhaps the solution to this one would be another piece of material such as a screen cleaner, which sits over the cards.
So the question was “How does this case compare to the Official Blackberry Z10 Flip Shell and does having the bank card slots really make much of a difference?”
Well in honesty, the case doesn’t offer the screen off ability of the official Flip Shell case however the solid design and material of the case offer far greater protection. If it wasn’t so girly looking and it didn’t have so many design problems then this could would be a great case however the design imperfections including the card slots are enough to make me say that the added protection the case offers isn’t worth the hassle.
For the price you would pay for this case I can honestly say don’t bother.
