Back in December I reviewed the Beta 4 released of Next Launcher, after a few hours running it I hadn’t actually looked at all the features, but most of them looked very good, and seemed a very good launcher in the making.
Well now Next Launcher is out of Beta with the the current version 1.23. Now this full blown version comes with a hefty price tag of £10:59! WOW you might say, who’s going to lay that kind of cash out, install it, run it and see if you like it all in 15 mins so you could get a refund?
Well the short answer is no-one, unless you have been running the Beta versions, it’s virtually impossible to judge whether it is good for you. There’s too many features to look at. Well the GO Team have come up with a trial version and we have the link at the bottom page the page. Albeit only lasts for 36 hours this seems like a job for a free Saturday/Sunday to be able to checkout all the features.
The problem here is that the trial version does not give you all the features, how crazy is that! That’s like having a SmartTV on trial for 36 hours only to find the smart features have been disabled and only lets you watch the 5 terrestrial channels!
This is what they have posted on the trial page:
1. Trial period will last 36 hours. If you like Next Launcher 3D, please upgrade to the full version.
2. More stunning features & themes with the full version
3. Please make sure you have installed Google Play Store.
4. Support Android 2.3.3 or higher. Dual-core will be better.
Well having used Next launcher I must say that it is good but takes some getting use to. I will be downloading the trial version this weekend to give it a thorough test, and let you know my feelings on Monday.
