For any avid Minecraft fan the pocket edition is an easy choice to satisfy a craving when away from your PC or Xbox. Personally the latest update has rekindled my passion for this charming little block game, which is now eating up most of my free time when I’m out and about.
The newest version brings a more intuitive and smooth feeling to the controls. What was once a chore having to run and jump or even turn to go around a corner or down a hallway is now a pleasant experience that in my opinion should no longer frustrate a Minecraft adventurer. The controls for flying in creative mode have been redone as well. You no longer have to play a guesswork game to figure how to change altitude or move about. Within a few minutes of using the new D-pad you’ll be moving about like you’ve been doing this your whole life. The other changes introduced in the update (signs, armor and baby animals) help bring the game up to date with its bigger brothers and easily add to the immersive world that Mojang has created for us.
If you’ve never played Minecraft before or gave up on the pocket edition in the past this newest update may be exactly what the doctor ordered. Check it out on the Play Store.
