At Land of Technology we cover all areas of mobile technology from Android through to Windows Phone and though I technically should be impartial to the brands, this story gave me more than a little chuckle and certainly brought a mischievous smile to my face.
So how would you like an official iPhone (100% official) running aOS 4 (Android OS) as it’s operating system and NOT iOS 6?
Well if you live in Brazil then you may very well get that!
Contrary to belief, Apple don’t actually own the iPhone name in Brazil as consumer electronics company Gradiente Eletronica SA filed for rights to the name back in 2000 which is long before the first iPhone was released.
Gradiente Eletronica SA plan to release an Android powered iPhone in Brazil and it will be pretty interesting to see what the Cupertino law loving company do to stop sales going ahead with the iPhone name that they don’t own rights to.
Poor Steve would have wasted every penny the company has to stop an Android powered iPhone hitting the market.
