As some of you may know, I have recently had the issue of trying to find a decent labelling product for the masses of cables I have lying around and plugged into multi-plug sockets.
I have literally hunted the web for a product that wasn’t just a piece of sticky plastic that I could write on but something that was durable, I could grab hold of and stood out when in a mass of wires.
After about an hour of hunting I came across and settled on a product known as the Cablebug by the Cable Label Co.
What makes the product even better is that the company have released two variants to ensure that most cables are covered from a standard phone charger right through to a cat 6 network cable for people who look after network equipment and also have the need for basic cable organisation too.
The first thing that struck me when I opened the packaging was the wide array of colours that it came in. This was great for me as I knew I had 3 different cable categories in my head that these would fit into perfectly.
I decided that the red ones were to be used for plugs that simply shouldn’t be removed, the green for any charging cable and white for pretty much all my kitchen appliances.
I took my first Cablebug out of the pack and inserted the appliance wire into the clip, straight away it made perfect sense where the cable was to lie and I might add that it sat perfectly within the grips inside the product.
I then closed the product over by clipping both open ends together and wrote, using a permanent pen, what the appliance was on a dedicated clear area.
The Cablebug is an amazing product, my only regret is that I was given two bags of these for review because I have become obsessed with labelling any cable that’s not tied down or hidden behind a fridge (though I have tried).
Priced at just £2.95 for a bag of ten and a lot more cost options you really can’t go wrong with these and in honesty they have made my life so much easier now that I can pair a data cable up to the device it’s used for.
I would fully recommend these to anyone who has loose cables lying around, as far a product of this nature goes, it doesn’t get much better.
