Long overdue, the BBC will be unveiling their Sports news app for Android hopefully this month. Bringing the latest UK sports news direct to your device whether it be smartphone or tablet, with Football, Rugby, Cricket and Swimming among the better known sports they will be covering the lesser known as the app give greater coverage than internet and indeed local radio. Although iOS users have had this app for a little while now, it will not be long in coming to Android.

The Sky Sports News app is at the moment having it’s own problems in their latest upgrade with customers complaining of very slow updates.
I’m hoping the BBC learn from this and follow their own great example of the app they brought out for the Olympics, whether they are using it as the model for the Sports app (I hope so) or updating it it’s their choice. You can see the BBC video, Dan Walker’s guide to the BBC Sport mobile app
