A recent listing at the US Patent Office by Apple suggests that they could be looking to replace lock screen passwords and current unlock methods with a new quiz style based on images.
The password scheme would see users answer who or what an on screen image is and then would allow the user to unlock the handset.
Of course this method of security is far from new as Facebook implemented it on accounts where it recognised an unusual IP address accessing a users account and would show images of friends and ask the user to validate information about the images.
Personally I would hate this unlock method as pretty much anyone close to me could unlock my phone and potentially see how I was able to afford a private jet (I wish!)
The main question here though is will this be challenged by Facebook or will they let it slide (get it? slide? my jokes are wasted on you lot).
