Avoid the hype, get your picture taken!
BlackBerry North America’s Facebook page is getting into the spirit of #TeamBlackBerry and offering Facebook users the opportunity to have their photos framed with the BlackBerry Spark. To do so, head on over to the North America page and click on the TeamBlackBerry application link (its next to the number of Likes). If you’re avoiding the hype and have nothing better to do, make a series of photos using the application for all your different moods. Here is one I made earlier.
The application uses your Facebook profile image so make sure you have the right one activated before you sign up. Don’t worry if you don’t. Open a new Facebook tab/page and alter it there. Return to the #TeamBlackBerry spark application and just refresh the page to see the updated result. If that fails clear your browsing data. Stop reading now to avoid BB10 [SPOILER] coming up.
[Spoiler] A piece of BB10 news
BlackBerry World pricing tier structures are changing! What does this mean for you? Well it basically indicates that there will be no more randomly priced items in BlackBerry world. As an example:
Currently, the lowest tier in the UK is £1.00. Once the price tier changes are implemented, the lowest tier will be £0.75. For Euros the tier will vary by country. For example, in France the current lowest tier is €0.99. With the pricing tier changes, the new lowest tier will be €0.89.

This is great for users as we will see more apps around the £1 mark. For some developers it may mean a rethink about their pricing strategies.
Until the next time…
