Twitter apps are spread across the Google Play Store (ANDROID MARKET) and it’s a stiff competition to what is the best and favourite among the masses. Now that debate will rage on and while the majority of devices are still on Gingerbread, the future is no doubt Ice Cream Sandwich.
Plume is one of those favourites and LevelUp Studio have now pushed the new update to the twitter client onto the Google Play Store.
What’s it bring new to the update? – Well it now has brought it’s twitter client more in sync and adhering to the ICS design style. As always the swiping across columns is there, the pull down bar to tweet is gone though, now it is replaced by a icon you tap and that brings the tweet box down.
Separate columns for timeline, mentions, direct messages and favourites are there by default, but you can also add lists and a search column as well. As you can below from the before and after shot the new difference.
Plume as before has a very nice tablet inferface that spreads out your client much better then most. First Boid rose to bringing a ICS design to the Twitter client table and now Plume have also. I’ve started using it again and I must say it’s pretty nice and clean looking.
