When the whole HTC and Beats partnership emerged I thought this was going to be a huge boost, and a huge step forwards for the Taiwanese company. Everyone loves music and no one does it better than Beats. Well apparently it didn’t work out as it was supposed to as HTC just sold half of its market share it had in Beats. Originally HTC bought 50.1% of Beats Audio but now they currently own 25.1% after their sale.
Doesn’t really seem like anyone won in this situation as HTC now is slipping from one of the best Audio firms around right now and the stock of Beats also dropped 4 percent. HTC says they will continue to work closely with Beats but that’s likely just company talk and I would expect less red Beats logos on the back of your HTC devices.
