I have been alerted to (by my partner) this new app for Android – Pair. It was previously available on iOS and now has been developed for Android too. This app is aimed at couples so they can keep in touch via this free messaging service no matter where they might be.
Pair allows you to message and stay connected to one person (internet connection needed). You can send normal messages, draw a picture and send it, you can also co-create drawings together and there is an option to “thumb kiss”. Thumb kiss is when one person places there thumb on the screen the exact location appears on the other users screen so if you place your finger in the same place you “thumb kiss”. Sounds cute right? Other than that you can ad pictures, set reminders, birthdays, anniversaries, everything important to a relationship really.
Now I’m not sure where the problem is but my partner has an iPhone and I have an Android phone and a lot of the features don’t work, we can’t thumb kiss or use the co-create a drawing feature. This looks to be a promising app but I think it needs some work to be functional across a mix of smartphones rather than the same type.
