The market for screen protectors has always been pretty big as when people are buying devices for anything from £200-£500 they don’t exactly want the screen to get damaged quickly. I’ve always quite liked mirror effect protectors so today we are looking at Amzer’s offering.
Amzer’s Mirror Screen Protector offers a very good and clear mirror effect. It is made from thermo-plastic polymer so is quite thick. I’d say it is predominantly aimed at the female market – or I suppose any males that would like to check their appearance. This protector rolls in at $9.95.
– Amzer Mirror Screen Protector is like a mirror that prevents your Touch screen from getting scratched.
– Made of thermo-plastic polymer.
– Looks like a mirror when your Samsung GALAXY SII GT-i9100 screen is shut off.
– Once the screen is active, screen contents appear as normal.
– Soft cleaning cloth to remove dust or debris before applying the screen protector
– Error-proof installation – Easy to apply with no bubbles.
– Non-adhesive backing will not leave residue when removed.
– Custom designed to fir your Screen.
Screen Protector was very easy to apply with a protective coating on each side to prevent any unnecessary dust getting on it before application. Although the installation claims to be “error-proof” I was still left with air bubbles in the protector as there were a few small scratches on the screen already (don’t ask how I managed to scratch Gorilla Glass!) and the protector wouldn’t smooth over these. The bubbles left weren’t actually that big though so not a major issues. Although not stated in the features the protector claims to be “scratch proof” which unfortunately is not the case. I only managed to get a few very light cosmetic scratches on the protector but nevertheless not scratch proof unfortunately.
The mirror effect of the protector is very good and actually very clear. The protector is very reflective, which is only really a problem if you have the brightness on one of the lower settings. The screen brightness needs to be on pretty much the highest setting for the reflective mirror effect to go away completely.

Other than having to have the screen on the brightest setting when active which will obviously kill the battery quicker this isn’t a bad protector. It does what it’s supposed to and fairly well. Personally I like it but it could maybe be a bit less reflective.
