Google announced Google Wallet quite recently and this was a way for Google to get us to utilize the NFC technology that is promising so much on Android. The thing is that this service is not available for all Nexus S owners as it’s only on Sprint’s network (Nexus S 4G) and they have access to it.
Not for some now as developers over at XDA have found a workaround to get all Nexus S devices working with Google Wallet. It’s not simple and not for anyone not confident tinkering with their phone as it’s requires having a rooted Nexus S and installing a some custom bits and pieces that include the CyanogenMod custom rom.
The CM7 custom rom that seems to be used is the latest CyanogenMod 7 Nightlies 211 and 212.
If you are brave enough to try this out then go to the XDA Developers page for instructions and let us know how you get on if you do as we would love to hear your thoughts.
