Apple’s attempt to make more money has unfortunately taken a turn for the good as a judge has ruled that HTC has infringed on two of the ten copyrights that Apple took them to court over.
All Things D has said that the two patents in question are 5,946,647 and 6,343,263. Sadly it looks like the later is said to be “fundamental to Android.”
HTC general counsel Grace Lei stated the following: HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal before the ITC Commissioners who make the final decision. We are highly confident we have a strong case for the ITC appeals process and are fully prepared to defend ourselves using all means needed.
Why oh why can’t Apple just make money from their phones instead of taking everyone who has ever manufactured an Android handset to court? Oh, could that be because they can’t outsell Android and like Microsoft, are now running scared and clutching at straws?
