Thanks to P3Droid and MyDroidWorld you can now make your phone sound like the Galaxy Nexus with the Ringtones and Notification Tones that were taken from a system dump.
Admittedly we were asked to not host the files but instead point to the site however we don’t feel that it’s right to make people register to download files so we linked them and you can instead download the files HERE.
Extract the zip file (it should be automatically renamed “audio.” If not, rename the folder “audio.”)
Place the “audio” folder in the “media” folder found on your device’s SD card. If there is no “media” file then create one.
Choose ringtones and notifications from your device’s settings and the new Ice Cream Sandwich sounds should show up under their respective names.
The “ui” folder found in the audio file is a little more tricky to apply and is only for rooted users. You can apply the all new ui sounds (lock/unlock, audible selections, etc.) by replacing the “ui” folder located in the system folder on the root of your device (system > media > audio > ui).
So, now you can have:
- ICS Roboto Font
- ICS Facial Recognition Unlock
- ICS Lock Screen
- ICS Wallpapers
- ICS Market
- ICS Google +
- ICS Google Music
Not too bad if you want to show off and cant afford the super high price of the new Galaxy Nexus
