If you have never heard of OnLive then you really need to be taking a look.
OnLive could be best described as a remote desktop session where users never need complicated hardware as the hardware and graphics requirements for the game you choose to play resides on the OnLive server and then comes back to the users via a video stream.
The games available to play are the exact same as you would walk into your nearest video game store and buy such as Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
You might wonder were all this is leading right? Well, OnLive has finally released its Android app, letting gamers access console titles directly from their handset.
As the above screenshot shows you can use on screen touch controls to play the game and though it takes some getting used to it soon becomes very comfortable. Failing that you can purchase a special OnLive controller for just £39.99 which is still a LOT cheaper than buying a PS3 or XBox 360
Support currently covers a couple dozen Gingerbread smartphones, and the service is only available in the US and UK for now.
